Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Design & Production Assistant to support the production team, ensuring that all processes are delivered on time, within specification, and to the highest quality standards. This role will involve active involvement in sample management, design support, stakeholder communication, and administration, all while adhering to critical production timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Creative Director and Design Manager in implementing design strategies across multiple brands.
  • Action product briefs provided by Private Label accounts, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
  • Coordinate the handover of seasonal spec sheets to suppliers and manage PP and salesman samples.
  • Assist the design team to meet deadlines for creation, editing, and finalization of brand collections.
  • Ensure COG (Cost of Goods) targets are met by working closely with the Merchandise team.
  • Maintain clear and positive communication with clients, factories, and internal teams.
  • Monitor development timelines, ensuring all products are delivered on time and samples are tested and approved within the required timeframes.
  • Organise and maintain showrooms, acetate, lens libraries, and costings.
  • Assist in compiling seasonal planograms and ensure product photography is taken on schedule.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to ensure timely sample deliveries for marketing collateral, photo shoots, and sales meetings.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by supporting peers and sharing responsibilities during busy periods.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a design or production assistant role, ideally within fashion, eyewear, or accessories.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel), and basic skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • A passion for design and production with a focus on achieving high-quality results.
