We are looking for a Garment Technician/Product Technician to join a leading global technical apparel brand. Reporting directly to the Senior Product Technologist, you will be instrumental in ensuring exceptional product quality and precision. Your key responsibilities will include supporting the Senior Product Technologist in securing quality assurance approvals and developing comprehensive garment specifications that align with both domestic and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate and resolve fit, fabric, workmanship, and design issues to meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Design and Production teams to address workmanship issues.
  • Create and maintain Garment Tech Books, overseeing Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and approvals of samples.
  • Ensure all products meet specified quality requirements and align with brand standards.
  • Reduce the number of quality issues through proactive measures.
  • Liaise with factories and offshore QC teams regarding specifications and sample evaluations.
  • Maintain consistent grading and fit across all products.
  • Provide 24-hour response to factory/production queries and ensure timely documentation.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Technology, Patternmaking, or relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience (3-5 years) in garment technical roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs and Adobe Illustrator/Excel.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fits, fabrications, grading rules, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in pattern making and grading for outerwear in both menswear and womenswear.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, with excellent time management.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Flexible, approachable, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
