Role Overview: We are seeking a talented Buyer/Product Developer specialising in resort wear to shape the future of the brand. If you have a sharp eye for contemporary resort wear trends, an innovative mindset, and the ability to seamlessly integrate buying and product development strategies, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Range Development: Work with cross-functional teams to create captivating resort wear collections, blending creativity with market insights to exceed customer expectations. Develop a commercially balanced range across subcategories, price points, and end use, aligning with KPIs, margin, and sales targets.
Buying Expertise: Implement buying strategies, monitor sales to repeat successful styles, and manage relationships with indent suppliers. Negotiate competitive pricing and ensure stock levels align with targets.
Supplier Collaboration: Build strong relationships with suppliers to create unique collections that align with our brand identity. Negotiate contracts, confirm quantities, and manage delivery schedules.
Development & Production: Oversee daily order management, product development, including fittings, tech pack creation, sample management, and respond to factory queries. Ensure production aligns with brand standards and timelines.
Inventory & Stock Management: Maintain accurate records, ensure bestsellers are in stock, analyze poor-selling items, and work with supply chain managers to align warehousing and inventory targets.
Reporting & Performance Management: Lead product trade meetings, track category performance against KPIs, including range diversity, pricing, margin, revenue, and markdown targets.
Critical Path Management: Maintain a clear critical path from concept to online, ensuring deadlines for fit samples, order placements, and photoshoot samples are met.
Quality Control: Ensure product sizing aligns with brand fit guides, oversee offshore QC, inbound QC, and resolve faulty stock issues with minimal cost to the business.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in buying and product development, especially within women's resort wear.
Strong ability to blend buying strategies with creative product development.
Proficient in supplier collaboration and market trend analysis.
Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
Self-motivated, innovative, and detail-oriented.
